MANILA, Feb. 26, 2013—More than a thousand members of a Catholic lay organization are expected to gather in a world congress slated on March 1 to 3, at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center in Subic, Zambales.
Organized by the CFC-Singles for Family and Life (SFL), the World Singles Congress 2013 will speak about Faith in line with the celebration of the Year of Faith by the Catholic Church.
Themed “Faith Works Wonders”, the three-day congress will gather more than 1,000 SFL members from all over the Philippines and other countries.
According to Arvin Serra, head of the secretariat committee, the congress titled “Declare!” which is anchored on the bible verse John 14:12, will emphasize on the attendees to declare their Faith, that it works and that it works wonders.
Especially in this Year of Faith which is being celebrated by the Catholic Church, we want to be nourished, renewed and strengthen in our faith, Serra said.
The congress will also be a primary venue to bring the community’s theme down to their members for better understanding. (Jandel Posion)
