SAN PABLO City, August 8, 2011?The head of a large family renewal group in the country has warned of new threats to the solidarity of family in the face of spreading secularism in society and increasing moral relativism.

Frank Padilla, Servant -General of the Couple for Christ Foundation for Family and Life mentioned relativistic mindset and neo-atheism as present-day threats to family and life apart from the reproductive health bill, homosexuality, same sex partnerships, divorce and radical feminism.

In a gathering on August 5 in Calamba City, he told top leaders of the family renewal group of Laguna to conduct a more vigorous evangelization program and stronger orientation to the teachings of the Church and fidelity to the Magisterium.

Padilla told Laguna CFC-FFL leaders the vital importance of having an effective pastoral plan, pastoral formation and continuing personal conversion as the best antidote to the anti-life and anti-family agenda of the new apostles of the culture of death.

The Servant General also reminded the leaders that one of the community’s core values is that of being a servant of the Church.

He told them to be always ready at the service of their local parishes especially in the area of strengthening family and life which is the CFC-FFL’s fundamental charism.

The CFC-FFL in Laguna has about 5,000 members.

SG Padilla also lauded the Pro-Life ministry of the Laguna district for being in the forefront in pro- life advocacy both locally and nationally.

He likewise praised its natural family planning program especially in promoting the Porsuelo method strongly supported by Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales and Antipolo Bishop Gabriel Reyes, the incoming President of the Episcopal Commission on Family and Life of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines.
