MANILA, Oct. 23, 2013— Catholic bishops are hoping that Janet Napoles, the businesswoman at the center of the pork barrel scam, would tell all when she appears before the Senate on November 7.

Jaro Archbishop Angel Lagdameo said Napoles should take advantage of the venue to answer the allegations against her.

Napoles has been accused of colluding with several lawmakers and other government officials in the misuse of their billions of pesos pork barrel funds.

“Napoles should attend (the investigation) and expose her side of the truth in order that justice may be served for the sake of the common good,” Lagdameo said.

Bishops Dinualdo Gutierrez of Marbel, Arturo Bastes of Sorsogon and Jose Oliveros said they want Napoles to identify all the politicians involved in the scam.

“Let her face the music. I hope she will tell the truth. Let her name names. The Filipino people want to know where their taxes went,” Oliveros said. (CBCPNews)
