Taizé prayer offered for conclave

QUEZON City, March 7, 2013—As the College of Cardinals meet in sessions prior to the conclave to choose the successor of Pope emeritus Benedict XVI, a group of religious and young people will offer a Taizé prayer for the Church and for the conclave. 

Organized by the Order of the Discalced Carmelites (OCD) in Quezon City, the Taize prayer titled “Veni Sancte Spiritus: Taizé prayer for our Holy Mother—The Church”  is being organized to pray for the future of the Church and the Cardinals who will vote for the next Pope in a conclave in Vatican. 

Slated on March 15, Friday, the activity will be held at the Fr. Mark Horan Hall of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Shrine Parish in Broadway, New Manila in Quezon City.

The prayer will be attended by the religious communities in the area, together with the young people.

Organizers said the activity is open for all who wants to offer their prayers for the Church especially for the Cardinals and the upcoming conclave. (Jandel Posion)
