PASAY City, Dec. 15, 2015 – Singer-actress Denise Laurel donated half of her Php 2-million cash prize to Caritas Manila after coming out on Sunday, Dec. 13, as grand winner of the second season of hit talent show “Your Face Sounds Familiar” (YFSF).

On behalf of the Church-run agency, Caritas Manila Executive Director Fr. Anton CT Pascual thanked the young artist for choosing to give as much as Php 1 million to the charity arm of the Archdiocese of Manila (RCAM).

The priest went on to point out that Laurel’s donation will go a long way, especially in subsidizing the studies of up to 5,000 scholars all over the country under Caritas Manila’s Youth Education Program (YSLEP).

Pascual, who also heads Radio Veritas, added he plans to to meet with Laurel soon to personally extend his gratitude, and also to invite her to guest in one of the Catholic station’s radio shows.

The 28-year old artist and mother, who is a descendant of no less than former Vice President Salvador “Doy” Laurel and President Jose P.
