SAN PABLO City, Oct. 12, 2012?The Diocese of San Pablo is launching its diocesan celebration of the ‘Year of Faith’ with a Eucharistic Mass participated by all clergy in about 80 parishes in 30 towns and cities of Laguna.

San Pablo Bishop Most Rev. Leo M. Drona, SDB, DD has instructed parish priests and Pastors of about 80 parishes in the diocese to cancel all Saturday morning masses in their respective Churches to give way to the opening of the Diocesan Celebration of the Year of Faith in Majayjay, Laguna on October 13, 2012.

A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. to mark the opening of the Year of Faith that will be held at the Saint Gregory the Great Parish in Majayjay.

In his letter, Drona reiterated Pope Benedict XVI’s Apostolic Letter Portia Fidei which expressed the Holy Father’s desire “to announce a Year of Faith” (PF,4), beginning October 11, 2012 until November 24, 2013.

“We are instructing Your Reverences to cancel the regular Saturday morning Masses in the Parishes on October 13 to highlight the significance of this celebration and in order for the clergy to afford participation in this diocesan event,” the prelate said. (Fr. Romy Ponte)
