San Juan Parish taps youth to campaign vs RH bill

MANILA, July 27, 2011?The Parish of Santuario del Sto. Cristo in San Juan City has tapped its young people to campaign against the reproductive health bill in solidarity and commitment to the call to safeguard life amidst a culture of death.

Parish priest Fr. Jesus C. Prol, OP and his Dominican Community tasked the parish’s youth scholars to campaign against the measure as Pro-Life Warriors.

On July 17, Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Rafael Carpintero, OP introduced the young Warriors to the parish congregation and commissioned them to evangelize the community and their fellow youth.

As an indirect means of evangelizing their fellow youth on the issue of RH Bill the young Warriors plan to go to shopping malls and select public places on weekends to proudly display their “No to RH Bill” shirts.

On July 24, the warriors went to the Greenhills Shopping Center, Robinson’s Galleria, Podium and St. Francis Square in Ortigas.

The youth will be given an ongoing education on the stand of the Church against the proliferation of anti-life/family measures like the Reproductive Health/Responsible Parenthood Bill, the Divorce Bill, and other issues on life and family.

Aside from deploying the youth in its fight against the measure, the parish has also set up, earlier this month, several pro-life tarpaulins in strategic places and in the homes of select parishioners in support of the anti-RH Bill campaign. (CBCPNews)
