QUEZON City, August 19, 2013—The Diocese of Novaliches’ Commission on Youth (COY Nova) will celebrate its 3rd anniversary as a commission on August 25, at the St. Peter Shrine in Commonwealth, Quezon City.

Dubbed as “3in1: One Faith. One Youth. One God.” the half-day celebration will focus on leadership, commitment and faith.

Migs Enriquez, the event coordinator, said the celebration will serve as a general assembly of youth leaders within the diocese.

“The event will not just gather youth leaders from different parishes in the diocese, but members of the Sangguniang Kabataan and student leaders from different public and private schools within the diocese will also be invited to participate and grace the occasion,” Enriquez added.

Enriquez said the celebration has lots of activities like the Bem Vindo de Volta for the World Youth Day delegation team of Novaliches; the iBe[LIVE] Jump Start, a Year of Faith campaign; and the Youth Congress kickoff.

He pointed out that on its 3rd year anniversary, the commission continues to envision a Christ-centered community of disciples, responding to the needs of the people, journeying with the Blessed Virgin Mary towards the newness and fullness of life.

“COY Nova will continue to promote a renewed and integral evangelization, empower the laity and form servant leaders, and commune with the poor, the oppressed and the marginalized, and work for their support through building and developing Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC) towards total human development and social transformation,” he emphasized.

Enriquez furthered that the commission is not just hoping to do its best in serving the youth of the diocese but also to give its best with the guidance of God. (Jandel Posion)
