MANILA, Sept. 25, 2013—Students of the Institute of Formation of Fondacio Asia are organizing an Asian Food Fest that will showcase various Asian dishes to raise funds to support their formation for mission.

Slated on September 29 at the Social Hall of Radio Veritas Asia Compound in Fairview, Quezon City, the Food festival will display dishes from Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia, Mongolia, Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand.

According to Ms. Florence Alexius, a Malaysian student of Fondacio, the fund-raising event will help support their formation for mission, particularly in Cambodia.

“The activity is part of the students` project for the mission. It will help for their training for missions,” Alexius said in a phone interview.

The mission to Cambodia aims to build leadership for a changing world that needs spiritual, human and financial support.

It will focus on peace building initiatives, interfaith dialogue, and social development.

Aside from showcasing Asian dishes, students will also perform several cultural presentations from their home country.

A mass at 10 a.m. will open the fund-raising activity. Food vouchers are available at P300.00.

Interested attendees may contact the Institute of Formation – Fondacio Asia at (02) 428-4372.
