SAN PABLO City, March 6, 2011—The bishop of San Pablo Diocese is scheduled to ordain three new priests for Laguna next week.
Bishop Leo M. Drona is set to raise to the order of Priesthood on March 7 at 9:00 a.m. two deacons: Rev. Jan Jan Alota and Rev. John Lino Calampiano at San Vicente Ferrer Parish Church in Binan City.
Another deacon Rev. Henry Dancalan Rabe would be ordained priest on March 14 in his hometown parish of St. James the Apostle Parish Church in Paete town.The three candidates for the priesthood are graduates from the SVD Theological Seminary in Tagaytay City last school year.
Upon ordination, the three news priests would raise the number of the San Pablo Clergy and religious to about 200.
Meanwhile, nine sisters of the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM) are scheduled to profess their Perpetual Vows during a solemn ceremony and Eucharistic Celebration to be held on the 25th of March.
The candidates for the Perpetual Profession, according to the program received by CBCPNews, include S. Maria Edesa C. Alibuca, S. Maria Mae M. Anacaya, S. Maria Ursula Nogo L. Bataona, S. Maria Imakulata L. Farnesi, S. Maria Petronela M. Herin, S. Maria Selviana N. Kune, S. Maria Hildegardis T. Meme, S. Maria Agnes M. Suwati, and S. maria Valentina T. Taneo.
To be presided by Most Rev. Honesto F. Ongtioco, DD, Bishop of Cubao Diocese, the solemn ceremony of profession would take place at about 8:30 a.m. , March 25, 2011 at the Our Lady of the Assumption Chapel at the RVM Generalate House in N. Domingo St., Cubao, Quezon City. (Fr. Romulo Ponte)
