With the failure of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to meet its own target of land distribution in Negros Island, Task Force Mapalad (TFM) farmers marched in Bacolod City on June 17, 2013 to compel the Aquino administration to speed up the distribution of land to farmers. The farmers also asked President Aquino to honor his own mother by replicating her achievements under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), arguing that his record since he took power was below par.
