MANILA, April 16, 2013—The Episcopal Commission on Youth (ECY) is organizing a Taize prayer activity as a concrete expression of its solidarity and support to the post-pilgrimage 2010 journey held in Manila.

In connection with the activity, the French Taizé brothers will come and visit several parts of the country this year for scheduled encounters and common prayer with the Filipino youth.

The activity— a series of prayer, reflection and silence, and group sharing— will be held at the Sta. Isabel College along Taft Avenue in Manila on May 4 at 4 pm.

Reflecting on “Uncovering the wellsprings of trust in God,” participants to the Taize activity will be those who took part in the Pilgrimage of trust on earth 2010, those who share in the spirit of Pilgrimage, and those who are interested to join.

But ECY is also inviting other young people and youth ministries so that the prayer encounter will bless as many people as possible.

“We believe our experience of the Pilgrimage of trust on earth 2010 continues not only to bring fond memories of intense prayer and sharing of life, but also to serve as an inspiration and reference point in the way we live our relationship with God and with others,” ECY said in their invitation letter.

Due to some limitation as regards to space of the venue, interested attendees are asked to accomplish a group registration form and list of participants for organizations and groups and send it to the commission through email ecynsya@gmail.com or fax at (02) 527-9566 or via personal visit to their office before May 1, 2013.  (Jandel Posion)
