DAVAO City, March 9, 2015 — Davaoeños are all too happy to receive the pilgrim image of the Our Lady of Fatima, which visited Davao City and Digos City as part of its Philippine tour this year.
“I am happy to see the Blessed Mother here in Davao. I prayed to her that she will intercede in my prayers,” said Christina Lao, 56, a parishioner of St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish, Buhangin in Davao City.

A motorcade welcomed the image upon its arrival at the Davao City International Airport on March 3.
Continued prayers
Auxiliary Bishop of Davao George Rimando celebrated a Holy Mass at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Davao City to further mark the event. The image stayed in the said parish until the end of the Holy Mass of Archbishop Romulo G. Valles the following day.
Lao added that she prayed that all conflicts around the world will end and that the Lord will stop all calamities.
“I hope all people will continue to pray to the Lord,” she said.
Philippine tour
The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue (IPVS) of Our Lady of Fatima, which came from Portugal, also visited the Mary Mediatrix of All Grace Cathedral in Digos City on March 4, heading to Calasanz de Davao Academy in Baliok, Davao City the day after.
The pilgrim image then visited the Diocese of Tarlac on March 6, to continue her pilgrimage in the Philippines.
