QUEZON City, September 23, 2012—The Diocese of Cubao through their bishop called young people of the diocese to join the World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Cubao Bishop Honesto Ongtioco said in his letter to parish priests, college presidents, campus ministers, religious superiors and young people that the diocese has decided to organize its own delegation so that they can journey together as a local Church of Cubao with committed and vibrant young people.
“We hope that young people will take advantage of this opportunity to rediscover, renew and share their faith and experience of God,” Ongtioco said.
“As we journey during this year of faith, may your faith be enriched by this important event of the World Youth Day 2013, whether you actually go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil or just join the participants in spirit,” the bishop added.
