MANILA, August 27, 2013— The Archdiocese of Cotabato is set to kick off this year’s celebration of Vocation Month on September 1.

With the theme “Bokasyon: Bukas ‘yong landas sa pananampalataya, tanda ng pag-asa,” the celebration will open with a Mass to be presided by Cotabato Auxiliary Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo at the Nuestra Señora dela Candelaria Parish in Tacurong City.

After the Mass, a short program will follow at the Notre Dame Sienna School gymnasium.

Organizers said the congregations will have a presentation regarding their respective charism and other details on their way of life as well as the process of their recruitment especially of young men and women and young professionals who heed the call to the priestly or religious life.

The month-long celebration also aims to foster vocation campaigns in schools and parishes.

On September 16, an archdiocesan-wide vocation campaign will be held in Midsayap Vicariate particularly at the Sto. Niño parish.

The culminating activity will be on Sept. 28 to 29 with students, out of school youth and young professionals gathering for an overnight Vocation Jamboree at the Notre Dame of Cotabato compound, Sinsuat Ave, Cotabato City. (CBCPNews)
