MANILA, April 14, 2013— An alliance of Catholic lay groups has revealed the names of six senatorial candidates they are so far endorsing for the May 13 midterm elections.

The White Vote Movement said the candidates were chosen based on their position on the Reproductive Health (RH) Law and other family and life issues.

Included in the initial list are Milagros “Mitos” Magsaysay, Cynthia Villar, Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, Antonio Trillanes IV, Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan, and Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito.

The announcement was made after a prayer service at the Amvel compound in Parañaque City on yesterday with around 500,000 campaign volunteers nationwide in attendance.

All the six candidates were also present at the gathering.

El Shaddai leader Bro. Mike Velarde, spokesperson of White Vote Movement, reiterated that their endorsement is not imposing.

“We just endorse but they (voters) still have the decision,” Velarde said.

The movement said that it would endorse two or four more candidates before the month ends. (CBCPNews)
