The head of Manila’s Catholic Church has saw Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil’s “Boses” (Voices) and endorsed the film saying that it is a “wonderful” story of “redemption”.

“It is not only reflective of some of the important concerns that we are facing in families especially with the plight of the children… it is also a story of redemption— how God can use friendship, compassion and music to restore broken hearts and spirits,” Tagle said.

Boses is an award-winning film from the 2008 Cinemalaya film festival about the friendship, stemming from their love of music, between an abused child and a reclusive violinist.

“It is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the human will,” Tagle added.

“I am inviting you to watch this wonderful movie Boses,” he also said. “Please bring your families, your friends to this wonderful movie.”

The movie will be shown at SM Cinemas nationwide starting July 31. (CBCPNews)
