MANILA, July 10, 2013— An American missionary lost a huge amount of money and valuables when burglars hit his vehicle last Monday in Mandaue City, Cebu, police said.
Rev. John Sullivan, 65, said his bag containing US$3,000 and P43,000 in cash were stolen from his truck, which was parked at the M.C. Briones St., in the city’s suburban village of Subangdaku.
Reports reaching the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame said that the burglary incident occurred at around 12:30 pm.
Aside from his money, the missionary also lost his registration papers; senior ID card; a mobile phone worth P14,000 and a digital camera worth P14,000.
Police are investigating the incident as the work to identify the suspects continues. (AV/CBCPNews)
