MANILA, Feb. 7, 2013—The 50th series of the Ka-Talk Forum organized by the Manila Archdiocesan Commission on Youth will reflect on God, the Father, Revelation and Creation.

Focusing on “God the Father”, the talk will remember the beauty and centrality of the faith, to go deeper into it and strengthen it.

Fr. Jade Licuanan, commissioner of the Manila Archdiocesan Commission on Youth said the Year of Faith is a favorable occasion for the faithful and the young to understand more profoundly the catholic faith.

“The foundation of Christian faith is the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction,” the priest said in his invitation letter.

Echoing the words of the Holy Father, he said “the Year of Faith will be not so much a celebration of a missionary event but a chance to remember the beauty and the centrality of the faith and the need to strengthen and deepen it, both at the personal and the community level and to do this in a perspective that is not so much celebratory, but rather missionary, precisely in the perspective of the mission Ad Gentes and the New Evangelization,” Licuanan also said.

Msgr. Gerardo Santos, the commissioner of the Manila Archdiocesan Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education will be the speaker in the forum.

The youth forum is scheduled from 1:00-6:00 p.m. on February 9 at the Cardinal Sin Auditorium, Paco Catholic School, Manila. (Jandel Posion)
